Matt Gragg is a seasoned photographer with a deep passion for nature and landscape photography. Originally from Colorado, he moved to Banff, Canada, in the early 1970s to study fine-art photography, mastering techniques like the Zone System and dye-transfer color prints. After earning a photojournalism degree from the University of Missouri, Matt’s career spanned graphic design and computer information architecture. Despite these changes, his commitment to capturing the intricate details of nature remains steadfast. Matt is dedicated to preserving the natural world and actively supports conservation efforts.

Earning a degree in photojournalism from the University of Missouri broadened my storytelling perspective, allowing me to merge narrative with visual artistry. My professional ventures in graphic design and computer information architecture have further enriched my compositional sensibilities, enhancing the clarity and structure within my photographic work.
